Self-Regulating Heating Cable Features

Self-regulating resistance heating cables operate differently than other heating cables. The heating cable consists of two resistance wires encased in carbon semiconductor material. Thanks to this semiconductor material, the cable's power decreases as the temperature increases and increases as it cools.

Self-limiting heating cables limit their temperature to 65°C, 120°C, or 150°C, depending on their intended use. Another advantage over other heating cable types is their ability to be cut to any desired length. Because this cut is customizable, the cable is minimized.
