Series Resistance Cable
Series Resistance Heating Cables: Powerful and Stable Heating for Long Lines
Series resistance heating cables are specialized heating systems that provide constant power output and allow electrical current to flow through a single resistance path along the cable. They are particularly preferred for long-distance pipelines, tanks, and processes requiring high temperatures. They provide uniform heat distribution along the cable and are characterized by high temperature resistance.
These cables are manufactured in specific lengths and cannot be cut to length. Therefore, they require project-based measurement and engineering. When used with thermostats and control panels, system safety and energy efficiency are increased.
Technical Specifications:
- Fixed watt/meter output (e.g. 30, 50, 60 W/m)
- High temperature resistance (up to 200–250°C)
- Mineral insulated (MI), PTFE or silicone outer coating options
- ATEX and IECEx certified models (for explosive atmospheres)
- Works with thermostat and control unit
Application Areas:
- Petrochemical and refinery facilities
- Long pipelines and outdoor applications
- Tank and silo heating systems
- Fire prevention and frost protection systems
- Power plants and process industries
Series resistance heating cables offer high performance and long life. When implemented with project-based engineering, they are the ideal solution for both safety and operational efficiency.
